Jag Mandir
A graceful pleasure palace built on the waters of Kishore Sagar Lake. The azure waters
around the red sand stone monument enhance its beauty.
City Palace
Overlooking the Chambal River are the City Palace and fort of Kota. Its exterior,
marrying rugged bastions and ramparts with delicate arches and railings. The palace is a
rambling complex of suites and apartments with ornate medieval glass mirror inlay work and
carving set off by beautiful ebony and ivory inlayed doors.

Excursions
Jhalrapatan
This small town is popularly known as the "City of bells". An entire township
resides within the confines of the wall, which was built to protect trade caravans. A
magnificent Surya temple is the main attraction with some beautiful sculptures.Jhalawar
The fascinating little Rajput town, is all the more interesting because it is relatively
undiscovered. It promises many places of significant historical interest like the Jhalawar
fort in the center of the town. The Bhawani Natya Shala built in 19th Century, a centre
for theatrical arts whose design is inspired by the western opera houses.
About 10 km from Jhalawar you can visit the Gagron Fort. Situated at the confluence of the
tranquil waters of two rivers and set against the backdrop of hills, this fort stands
witness to many great battles.
Darrah Wildlife Sanctuary
Once the private hunting ground of the Maharajas of Kota, this wildlife
sanctuary is a protected abode for many exotic species like leopards, Sloth bears,
Chinkara (Black buck) and wolves.
